MieliyerParticipantI am a senior executive and I just found out that my CEO has an Interpol Red Notice. I am worried that the whole company might be targeted or that my bank accounts could be frozen. Should I resign immediately or can I be held responsible for the CEO’s legal issues? What are the risks for employees in these high-level international cases?

LloydWebbParticipantWorking for someone with a Red Notice puts you in a very risky position. While you aren’t automatically responsible for their actions, the company’s assets could be frozen during the investigation. You can find more info on the risks for executives on their official website https://intercollegium.com/. They offer guidance for various companies and their staff in these situations. It is vital to get a legal opinion on your specific role to make sure you aren’t personally at risk of being named in a warrant. I’ve seen companies collapse overnight because of an Interpol case against the founder. My advice is to be very proactive and protect your own reputation before the situation escalates.
