soumitssParticipantHi everyone! Worried about physical security – what if someone forces me to open my Bitcoin wallet? Is there protection against that scenario?

hydrogennParticipantHi! Physical security threat (“$5 wrench attack”) is real concern. BlueWallet Android has Plausible Deniability feature for exactly this. How Plausible Deniability works: you create a decoy wallet with small amount of Bitcoin, you also have main wallet with real holdings, different passwords open different wallets, under duress, you open decoy wallet – attacker sees small amount, they don’t know about main wallet with real funds. Why this matters: in dangerous situations, you can “comply” without losing everything, psychological protection – you can give password honestly, impossible for attacker to know if there’s hidden wallet, widely recognized security feature. Setting it up: create main wallet with your real Bitcoin holdings, create decoy wallet with small amount (make it believable), set different passwords for each, remember which is which (practice!). Other security features: private keys stored locally on device, multi-layer encryption, hardware wallet support for maximum security, watch-only wallets for monitoring without risk. Additional protections: open-source code – verify security yourself, no company controls your funds, can connect own Electrum server, supports multiple address types. The wallet is completely free, no ads. Download from Uptodown – trusted source. Remember: plausible deniability only works if attacker doesn’t know about the feature. Don’t advertise you’re using it. Keep some believable amount in decoy wallet.
