Event Description: The Malta Throwdown is 3-day live event being held on 7th, 8th and 9th July 2023 Malta – The perfect competition destination, and here’s why: Sun & Sea – Located in the middle of the Mediterranean, Malta is surrounded with sandy beaches and clear blue water. The sun shines for an average of 12 hours daily so you’ll definitely enjoy a good tan whilst sweating it out. 3 Islands – Malta consists of 3 islands, Malta, Gozo and Comino. Tour all 3 to get an insight to life on the Maltese islands. Direct Flights – Most European countries offer a direct flight to Malta so that means you’re just one flight away from a good time Events Details: Date: 7/8/9 July 2023 Venue: San Anton School Address: L-Imselliet, l/o Zebbiegh Divisions: RX Individual women RX Individual men Intermediate Individual women Intermediate Individual men Teams of 3 (MMF) Scaled men Scaled women This year the Male and Female divisions will be combined for one division each. There will be set workouts for these divisions after which the top 36 Men will make up the Rx division whilst the next 48 Men will make up the Intermediate division. The same applies to the Female division. The only difference is that the top 24 Females will be placed into the Rx division and the next 36 Females into the Intermediate division. These spots also include any Invited athletes(A maximum of 3 Rx Males and 3 Rx Females). 36 Teams and 24 Scaled Males and Females will also have the chance to qualify and will have separate workouts assigned to their divisions. To qualify, athletes will need to perform the qualifying workouts which will be released on 22nd March. All scores will need to be submitted by 12th April. To qualify, athletes will need to perform the qualifying workouts which will be released week after week starting from the 22nd March and running until the 12th April. 1 workout per week for 3 weeks will be released and scores must be submitted before the weekly deadline in order for their score to count.
