Do you have what it takes to be the best warfighter in TEST? Create a Team of 4 and join us in a first responder centric obstacle course that challenges your mental and physical capabilities and showcases the warfighter's capabilities in a contested environment!
You and your team of 4 will compete against other first responders from across the 412 TW on a one-mile obstacle course that will test you in multiple domains of TCCC and Basic Life Support (BLS). Some of the physical and mental requirements needed to be successful in this competition are as follows:
- Knowledge of TCCC skills such at Care under fire (CUF), Tactical Field Care (TFC), tourniquet application, litter carries, and ability to call a nine line.
- Basic Life Support Knowledge (BLS) - how to perform compressions / CPR
- Teams of 4 should be able to physically carry a litter with a 165# dummy across rough terrain.
- Individual members of the team should be able to ruck with a 20# pack and/or 20# ammo cans farmer's carried.
- Teams of 4 should be able to overhead press a litter with a 165# dummy multiple times
- Individual members of the team should be able to climb over approximately 5 foot tall barricades.
- Individual member(s) of the team should be able to drag/carry a 135# dummy to cover.
- All members of the team should be able to complete short bursts of high intensity physical activity such as Fire hose drags or swinging a sledgehammer
Each team will compete for the best time across the one-mile course with a 30-minute time cap. Teams will be graded along several "checkpoints" that will judge them based on their knowledge and teamwork as a team. If a team cannot complete the challenge in the allotted 30 minutes, then their score will be based on the amounts of the checkpoints completed/ total score at each checkpoint.
Teams of 4 can be assembled any way team sees fit and can substitute a team member up until the day of the Event upon check in. no substitutions are allowed during the event.
Both civilian and Active-duty members are permitted if they are competent in the skills listed above. Throughout the course you will be allowed freedom to "choose your own adventure" with requirements at certain checkpoints for all team members to do a certain activity.
UOD will be OCPs if active duty with a minimum requirement of pants and boots /trail shoes due to uneven terrain and loose gravel in sections of the course. Teams may wear a squadron or team t-shirt with their OCP pants /boots if desired. Older uniforms are also allowed.
