1st event order will be based on reverse sign-up order. If you are first to sign up you will be last to go in the first event. Order will be changed based on performance in each event. 

Who Qualifies?

Below is who qualifies for USS Nationals 2026

  • Novice Classes- 1st place. Can not compete Novice again.
  • Open Classes- Podium 1st/2nd/3rd
  • Master Classes- Podium 1st/2nd/3rd

Event rules:

  • Axle Clean & Press - Ironmind Axle

Athletes will be given 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible

Athletes will start a 5 feet away from the axle. Once the "lift" command is given the athlete may attempt to lift the axle. This event will be clean and press each rep.

Rules for the event: Athletes may continental, double overhand, or belt clean the axle. Once in the racked position the athlete may push press, push jerk, split jerk, or strict press the axle. The axle must be controlled to the ground, if you drop the axle from overhead (Tree topping) you will not be awarded a "good rep". Repeat as many times as possible in the 60 seconds. 

To get a "good rep": Athletes must have the Axle fully locked out, feet must be together, head must be through (looking forward). Athlete can NOT be in an incline bench type of position at lockout.

Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, 1 pair of knee sleeves, 1 pair of elbow sleeves or 1 set of cuffs, hot pants, briefs, grip shirt must be worn under the competition shirt.

Equipment not allowed: versa grips, figure 8s, axle straps, barbell straps, oly straps, no doubling up on sleeves or cuffs of any kind. One or the other.

  • 13 inch Axle Deadlift- Ironmind Axle

Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible.

Athletes will start a 5 feet away from the bar. Once the athlete is given the "lift" command, they may go towards the bar and attempt their first rep. Athletes will be given a "good lift" command if the rep meets the requirements for a rep. The athlete must then bring the bar back to the ground and be given the "lift" command to attempt another rep.

Rules for the event: Athletes may use any of the straps in the approved equipment, double overhand, switch/under-over grip, or hook grip to grab the bar. Athletes must have their knees and hips locked out for a rep to be awarded.

Reps can be removed if the athlete drops a completed rep from the top of the deadlift. Reps can be removed if the athlete jumps the "lift" command and completes the rep.

Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, oly straps, figure 8/infinity straps, standard straps of any length, knee sleeves.

Equipment not allowed: versa grips, no doubling up on suits and briefs. One or the other.

  • Yoke Sandbag Medley - Big Dogg Strong + Cerberus Strength Sandbag

Athletes will have 75 seconds to complete the course. Course length is 50ft. If the Athlete finishes, time will be recorded. If the Athlete does not complete the course, distance will be recorded. 

Athletes may start under the yoke. On the "LIFT" command athletes will attempt to stand with the yoke and walk it the designated distance. Once the front of the yoke passes the line for distance the athlete will then set the yoke down, run back to the starting line to pick up and carry the sandbag to a designated space, then pick the yoke up, return it to the starting line, run back to the sandbag, pick it up, carry the sandbag to a designated space. Time will stop when the sandbag hits the ground. Total distance of event is 200ft.

Rules for the event: Athletes will have unlimited drops to finish the course or until time expires. Athletes must attempt to take a step with the yoke in order to move it. Athletes are not allowed to "bunny hop" or "pick and throw forward" the yoke to move it down the course. These will result in a 2 second penalty. No sliding the yoke. Slides will result in a 5 second penalty. Slide penalties do not occur if the yoke is passed the designated distance. Yoke must leave the ground to move. Pick your heights accordingly. Sandbag must be carried and can be carried however the athlete decides. Bearhug, shoulder, etc. Sandbag can not be slide, or pushed across the ground. 

Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, knee sleeves.

Equipment not allowed: no doubling up on suits and briefs. No tacky or adhesive of any kind.

  • Frame Carry w Dead- Beast Metal
  • Frame handle height - 14 inches

Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete the course of 50ft down and 50ft back. At the 25ft mark there will be a square to complete 3 frame deadlifts. If the Athlete finishes, time will be recorded. If the Athlete does not complete the course, distance will be recorded.

Athletes may start with hands on the frame. On the "LIFT" command athletes will attempt to stand with the frame and walk it 25ft to a designated area. Athletes will then complete 3 frame deadlifts, athlete will get a "down" signal for a good rep, once 3 good reps are awarded the athlete will then walk it the rest of the 50ft. Once the front of the frame passes the line for distance the athlete will then set the frame down, turn around, pick the frame up, walk it 25ft to a designated area, Athletes will then complete 3 frame deadlifts and walk it the rest of the 50ft return it to the starting line. Time will stop when the front of the frame passes the finish line.

Rules for the event: Athletes will have unlimited drops to finish the course or until time expires. Athletes must attempt to take a step with the frame in order to move it. Athletes are not allowed to "bunny hop", "pick and throw forward" ,or "kick"  the frame to move it down the course. These will result in a 2 second penalty. No sliding the frame. Slides will result in a 5 second penalty. Frame must leave the ground to move. No dragging the frame to move it.

Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, knee sleeves.

Equipment not allowed: No grips of any kind, no doubling up on suits and briefs. No tacky or adhesive of any kind.

  • Duck Walk + Sandbag to Shoulder- Rogue Powerpin + Cerberus Strength Sandbag

Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete the course of 50ft with the duck walk implement then immediately transition to max sandbag to shoulder reps. Score will be based off of reps completed with the sandbag. If the Athlete does not complete the course of 50Ft with the duck walk athlete will receive a 0. Distance will not be measured.

Athletes may start at a designated spot. On the "LIFT" command athletes will move to the duck walk implement and walk it the designated distance. Once the implement and athlete passes the line for distance the athlete will then set the duck walk down and attempt to get as many reps with the sandbag to shoulder. Athletes will be given a "down" command with each successful rep of sandbag to shoulder.

Rules for the event: Athletes will have unlimited drops to finish the course of 50ft. Athletes must attempt to take a step with the duck walk in order to move it. Athletes are not allowed to "bunny hop" or "pick and throw forward" the implement to move it down the course. These will result in a 2 second penalty. No sliding the implement. Slides will result in a 5 second penalty. Implement must leave the ground to move. No dragging the implement to move it. Sandbag to shoulder will start from the ground each time. Athlete must pick the sandbag and get it to their shoulder. Athlete may use two hands to get the sandbag to should but must remove the opposite sides arm to be awarded a good rep. No rep will be given if the athlete is baby cradling the sandbag on one side or the athlete drops the sandbag before judge gives the "down" command.

Equipment allowed: hard belt, soft belt, wrist wraps, hot pants, briefs, suits, knee sleeves, grip shirt must be worn under comp shirt.

Equipment not allowed: No grips of any kind, no doubling up on suits and briefs. No tacky or adhesive of any kind.
