IT IS THE 2025 UNITED STATES STRONGMAN NORTH CAROLINA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY HOSS WEAR!

THERE IS NO QUALIFIER FOR THIS EVENT. 

THIS EVENT WILL QUALIFY YOU FOR THE 2026 UNITED STATES STRONGMAN NATIONALS!

EVENTS:

1. SANDBAG PRESS FOR REPS: Athletes will have 60seconds to Clean and Press the sandbag as many times over head as possible. The sandbag must be pressed Over Head with the Athlete standing up straight,Knees and Elbows and Hips locked out, Head through and Feet together. If the sandbag falls behind the Athlete “No Rep” will be given regardless of Down Command. No resting of the sandbag on the Athletes head. If the Athlete rests the sandbag on their head, they must return the sandbag to the RACK position before continuing to press to earn credit for the lift.  

Equipment Allowed: Hard and Soft belts (1 of either or both), wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves and wraps, gloves, chalks. 

Equipment NOT Allowed: Grip Shirts, Elbow wraps, Bare Feet, Anything Sticky. 
 

2. *MAX 18INCH DEADLIFT* (POWER BAR): Athlete will have 30seconds to attempt the lift. Athlete will receive the down command when the Athlete is standing up straight with shoulders back, knees and hips locked out with feet together. If athlete drops the bar from lockout no rep will be given. Athletes hands must follow the bar down. Athletes thumbs must remain in contact with the bar. No rep will be given if thumb or thumbs come off the bar. Hitching is allowed. This will be a rising bar event. Athletes will have the opportunity to warm up as the bar moves up in weight. After all the Athletes with attempts have gone THEN We will allow Athletes to use the weight loaded on the bar as warm up. This allows Athletes to get both rest and warmups during the event.

Don‘t see your weight class record? That is because it has yet to be established! Almost all weight classes will have a new record holder once this event is completed! 
 

Equipment Allowed: Deadlift suits, Briefs, Standard and Figure 8 Straps. Hard and Soft Belts(1 of either or both),Knee and elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, deadlift socks, Chalk, Baby Powder. 
 

Equipment NOT Allowed: Gloves, Straps with metal hooks, Bare Feet, Anything Sticky, Any Oils. 
 

3. SANDBAG CARRY FOR MAX DISTANCE: Athletes will pick up the sandbag and carry out in front, No Shouldering, for max distance. Track will be set between 2 objects; orange cones or the like. Athlete will have to go around object and turn back. Turns will not be scored in distance. Course length TBD. No drops, No Time Limit. Athletes may have coaching for turns from 1 member of Their Party not from Event Staff.  

Equipment Allowed: Hard and Soft Belt (1 of either or both), Knee and elbow sleeves, Gloves, Chalk. 
 

Equipment NOT Allowed: Grip shirts.  Bare Feet, Anything sticky. 

 

4. T- BAR LOADING PIN FRONT HOLD: Athlete will stand with arms out straight at 90° from floor with elbows locked. Shoulders and Rear against surface. Feet behind line. Athlete will be handed the implement and take an over hand grip. Time will start when the athlete has sole control of the implement. Judges will speak up and down commands to the athlete to maintain 90°. Failure to answer command the time will stop. Athlete may move shoulders or rear off surface once. If shoulders or rear come off surface once again time will stop. If shoulders come off then rear comes off that would count as the second and time will stop. No time limit.

Equipment Allowed: Hard and Soft belt (1 of either or both), Knee and Elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk. 

Equipment NOT Allowed: Elbow wraps, Bare Feet, gloves, anything sticky. 

 

5. HEAD TO HEAD SANDBAG LOAD OVER BAR (YOKE): 2 lines will form in reverse order of sign up. One on each side of the Yoke. Athletes will have 30seconds from the Judge Command of “Go” and from the time the sandbag falls over the bar and hits the ground. If the Athlete fails to load the sandbag in 30seconds the Athlete is out and the next Athlete will step in and immediately start to load the sandbag. In the event an athlete is going alone there will be 30seconds from the time the sandbag hits the ground for the Athlete to walk to the other side of the Yoke and make their next attempt. Athlete may choose to use the full 30 seconds or lift immediately.  

Equipment Allowed: Hard and Soft Belt (1 or either or both), Knee and elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, Gloves, Chalk. 
 

Equipment NOT Allowed: Grip shirts, Bare feet, anything sticky.
