USS Membership: US Strongman membership is required and can be purchased during signup or separately. 

Nationals Qualifier: This even is a qualifier for 2028 Nationals.

Spectator Fees: 10$ at the door payable via Cash or CashApp. Children 12 & under are free.

Parking: No parking fee, large open lot available. Section of the parking lot will be closed off for the vehicle pull.

Record Breaking: There is the available to set 2 state records, Mammoth Deadlift and Circus Dumbbell.

  • Must be an Arkansas Resident and Active USS Member

Training Considerations: If at any point you want to test or train with the implements that will be use please reach out to Scotty or Cody to schedule a day and time. All implements that will be used are located in Searcy, AR.

Provided Tools: Chalk and Smelling Salts will be available for athletes

Weigh-ins

  • Weigh-ins will be held at Rhino Fitness Friday evening and Saturday Morning.
    • Friday Night: 6pm - 8pm
    • Saturday Morning: 7am- 8:30am
    • Mammoth Bar and CDB first weights will be called at weigh-ins
    • Yoke height will be set at weigh-ins

Rules meeting will begin promptly at 8:30am and the Max Mammoth Bat to start promptly at 9am.

Global Event Rules:

  • ***ALL EVENT WEIGHTS ARE EXPECTED WEIGHTS BUT MAY VARY SLIGHTLY DUE TO FINAL IMPLEMENT WEIGHT***
  • EVENTS RULES ARE SUBECT TO UPDATING.
  • WHEN YOU APPROACH FOR THE EVENT YOU WILL STATE YOUR NAME AND WEIGHT CLASS TO THE SCRIBE AND THEN COMPETE.
  • This will be an indoor/outdoor event so come prepared.
  • No Tacky on any event

Max Mammoth Bar Deadlift:

  • Implement Used: Cerberus Kratos Bar
    • If using Madewell Mammoth Extenders use a power bar to replicate this bar better.
    • The bar is 28kg which = 61.7294lbs, WE ARE ROUNDING UP to 62lbs
    • Starting weight is 262lbs
  • Weight Jumps: 20lb jumps minimum
  • Rules:
    • Bar Spiking will result in a no lift, control the bar on the way down to protect the implement.
    • You will declare your opening weight at weigh-ins.
    • Last man standing rules
      • Unlimited Attempts if you succeed – Competitors can make as many attempts as they want to establish their max lift.
      • Failure = Finished – If an athlete fails a weight, they are finished with the event.
      • Must Increase or Stop – After a successful lift, the athlete must increase the weight for their next attempt or stop.

Hammer Hold:

  • Implement Used: Titan Loadable Thor Hammer
  • Rules:
    • Athlete stands upright with their back against a support post or wall.
    • The arm must remain fully extended straight out in front at approximately shoulder height.
    • The body must stay against the back support throughout the attempt.
    • One hand will be used to hold the hammer.
    • The athlete's hand must stay below the white line on handle.
    • Time starts when the hammer reaches the correct position.
    • Time stops when:
      • The hammer drops below the required height,
        • There will be single judge on this event
        • There will be an allowable tolerance
      • The elbow bends significantly,
        • There will be single judge on this event
        • There will be an allowable tolerance
      • The athlete's steps away from the support,
      • The hammer touches the body or support,
      • The athlete's drops the implement.
      • The athlete's hand goes above white line on handle.

Frame/Yoke Carry:

  • Implement Used: Titan Upright Farmers Walk Frame and Titan Short Yoke
  • Rules:
    • The athlete will start in the frame, and on the judge's command will have 60-sec pick and run the frame 50FT to the end of the course then transition to the yoke and carry 50FT back.
    • Distance will be measured if the athlete can't complete the course.
    • Fastest time wins.
    • Yoke height will be determined at Weigh-in
    • Front of Frame must PASS line to move on to Yoke
    • Front of Yoke must PASS line to stop time
    • Unlimited drops
    • Slides will have a 5 sec penalty
    • Frame handle height is about 18in

Max Circus Dumbbell:

  • Implement Used:
    • Men: Titan 12in Circus Dumbbell with 3in Handle
      • Starting weight is 86lbs
    • Women: Snake River 10in Circus Dumbbell with 2in Handle
      • Starting weight is 50lbs
  • Weight Jumps: 10lb jumps minimum
  • Rules:
    • Do not drop CDB from full lockout, this will result in a no lift, control it on the way down to protect the implement.
    • You will declare your opening weight at weigh-ins.
    • Wessels Rule applies How Wessels Rule Works
      • Three Attempts – Competitors get three attempts to establish their max lift.
      • No Reattempts at Failed Weights – If an athlete fails a weight, they are finished with the event.
      • Must Increase or Stop – After a successful lift, the athlete must increase the weight for their next attempt or stop.
    • Raising Ladder format, jump in where you fit

Vehicle Pull:

  • Implement Used:
    • Women's divisions will pull a Police Car
    • Men's divisions will pull a Fire Truck
  • Rules:
    • This will be a harness and rope style pull
    • Vehicle will be pulled 45ft, front bumper crossing the finish line ends the run
    • Fastest time wins.
      • If no athlete finishes, distance traveled determines placing.
    • SHOES ARE REQURIED!
