CrossFit Train

The Phoenix and CrossFit Train have partnered for an in-person team competition located at CrossFit Train! The Phoenix’s mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live. 

Open to CrossFit Train and The Phoenix members only. The only rule is that you have to have fun, cheer on the other athletes and get excited for the return of in-person events! 2 person same sex teams! Costumes encouraged! 

Event Details:

Teams of 2 same sex athletes. RX or Open division. 

$150/team entry fee (no refunds). This will include a t-shirt or tank top for each athlete, and swag bags! 

Time of event: 7:00am-1:30pm (our time frame is strict as we have to be out of the lot no later than 1:30pm!)

Workouts: 3 workouts and a floater. Workouts will be announced 1 week before the event. 

This will be an alcohol free event in support of The Phoenix. 

RX or Open?

RX Teams should be able to:

Your team can efficiently do the following: pull-ups, double unders, and Kb Swing 70/53#. Can efficiently do a full Squat Snatch and/or full Squat Clean & Jerk at or above 115# men, 75# women. One athlete on the team can do bar muscle ups. 

Open Teams should be able to:

Your team is new to the competition scene or beginners. Needs to do modifications like banded/jumping pull-ups, may or may not be able to do double unders, and needs to modify most of the workouts. No shame in your game.

Fundraising Opportunity:

Our CrossFit Train community has always shown up to support good causes so we are calling on our community to give back and help this amazing organization! The Phoenix is 100% donor and grant funded, so all funds raised will go towards opening new chapters around the country and creating programs for individuals in recovery. Let's show them some Train love!!

Prizes:

1st, 2nd, 3rd place podium prizes as well as the team with the most team spirit! 

Last day to register: 

July 12th, at 8am is the last day to register in order for you to get the t-shirt and tank top size you want! 

Substitutes are allowed but must be approved BEFORE competition day.

Plan on bringing pop up tents and chairs to hangout and enjoy the competition! Also, as mentioned before we will be starting this event on the early side to beat the heat as well as get out of the lot for a big concert later that evening! ALL cars must be out of the CrossFit Train parking lot by 1:30pm.
