I am excited to hold this contest out here in Western Oklahoma. There are so many oil field or just plain “farm strong” folks out here that have no idea what a place they can hold in strongman.  I am looking forward to all the new and existing competitors to try their strength with these implements .

Events:: 

Event 1 Viking Press

Athletes will begin with hands on the implement, upon go command, athletes will stand with weight and press overhead. The athlete will be allowed to push or strict press the implements. The implement cannot touch the resting pad, on the dip, before the press.

Allowed- wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, belts

Not allowed- elbow wraps, knee wraps

Event 2 18” Axle Tire Deadlift

Athletes will be begin with hands on implement. Upon ‘go’ command, athlete will complete as many reps as possible in 60seconds. Athletes MUST weight on down command from judge.

Allowed-  belts, knee sleeves, figure-8 straps, standard straps

Not allowed- deadlift suites, deadlift briefs, hook strap

Event 3 Farmer’s Carry

Athlete will begin with hands off implement. Upon ‘go’ command, athlete will pick implements and walk 40’ down. Athlete will cross the line with THEIR foot. Then turn around and walk 40’ back with implements.

Allowed- wrist wraps, belts, knee sleeves, chalk

Not allowed- straps, tacky

Event 4 Carry & Load Medley

Athlete will begin on start line. Upon ‘go’ command, athlete will run to first implement, that will be placed 10’ from table. Athlete will pick implement and carry back to the table and load on the table. Athlete will then repeat action for 2nd and 3rd implement.
Allowed- wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, belts, chalk

Not allowed- tacky

Event 5- 18” Power Stairs

Athlete will begin with hands on implement. Upon ‘go’ command, athlete will duck-walk first implement to stairs then carry implement up 4 stairs. After reaching the top, athlete will return to 2nd implement and repeat action. Implements cannot be hanging off stair. Time will not end until implements are correctly placed.
