Team Bernhardt is excited to announce Der Grosse Bären Kampf (The Big Bear Fight) 2025 Fourth Annual Strongman Competition. This is a USS Sanctioned event and includes categories to allow more athletes, including youth athletes, to compete. This link is for teens, open, and masters. If you are looking for the youth signup, please select the contest name including "Tiny Bears." This competition is a fundraising event. Please share and spread awareness of the nonprofit we are supporting, the Avis Brebnor Memorial Award for Excellence. Circus DB Press
Athletes will press the Circus DB (with one arm) for amrap in 60 seconds. Belts, elbow sleeves, and wrist wraps are allowed. Athletes must be under control, with both feet under them, for reps to count. Athlete must remove one hand before their press.
Car DeadliftÂ
60 seconds, as many reps as possible (amrap). Belt, knee sleeves, and straps allowed. No deadlift suits or briefs.
Yoke Hold
Athletes will pick and hold the yoke for as long as possible. Time stops when athlete drops the yoke.
Odd Object Medley
The medley will consist of a press, shoulder, and load. Event will be for fastest time or completion of lift if the athlete does not complete all 3 in 60 seconds. Each implement is moved for 1 rep.
UPS Truck Pull
Information will be provided asap.
Weight Classes:
Following USS Sanctioned Weight Class Categories. 40+ masters should register for single master's division. Weigh-Ins required for all athletes. Divisions may be condensed per hosts discretion.Â
Event Location:
Victoria Beach at Lake Allatoona is closed this year. Location will be updated asap.
Membership:
USS Membership Required. Must have valid registration by competition date.Â

Friday October 24th @ Team Bernhardt Strongman Training Facility 10am-12pm or 4pm-7pm

Athletes who cannot make Friday's weigh-in must contact competition directors. Limited weigh-ins day of. If you do not check-in on Friday and haven't contacted the directors for Saturday weigh-in, you will be considered a no-show and WILL NOT be allowed check-in Saturday and compete. Please follow the rules for weigh-ins.
