• What: 1 Hour, As Many Combined Calories As Possible with a Concept2 rower, Concept2 Ski Erg, and Rogue Echo Bike
• Who: Teams of 4 (2m, 2f)
• When: June 10-11, 2022
• Where: Delaware Fit Factory
• Why: Fundraiser for HelpLine, a 24/7 crisis hotline and textline serving eight counties in North Central Ohio: Delaware, Morrow, Crawford, Wyandot, Union, Logan, Shelby, and Miami.

"Calories For A Cause" is an opportunity for you and your team to test your aerobic capacity while raising money for HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties! After signing up, each team will receive a fundraising page of their own to collect single donations or pledges on a per calorie basis. Prizes will be awarded to the team who can row, ski, and bike the MOST CALORIES, as well as the team that RAISES THE MOST MONEY!

Your team of 2 males and 2 females will have 1 hour to row, ski, and bike as many combined calories as possible. Switch as needed, but keep the machines moving to prevent monitors from turning off! When tracking scores, please remember to submit total calories on the bike, ski erg, and rower separately for scoring purposes.

What can I expect when I call and talk or text with a specialist?
Our specialists are trained to treat each caller/texter with respect and dignity.  The specialist will typically work with you to 1) develop an understanding of your particular situation, 2) Work with you to explore possible options, and 3) Assist you in figuring out next steps.  We won’t tell you how to solve your problem but we’ll help look at options with you.

Calls usually last about 20 minutes since we are not therapists, but you are welcome to call back should you need more listening and support. We are also glad to provide referrals to professional counseling agencies who can work with you on ongoing challenges.  Our services can offer compassion, empathy, and help with day-to-day coping ideas during tough times and we are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
