The 2nd installment of Nebraska's Strongest!  We will be establishing records for the state of Nebraska as well as being a NATIONAL RECORD BREAKER event in the deadlift and farmer's hold.

This event will be indoors, with the exception of the vehicle pull and atlas stone series.  The order of events will be determined the day of the competition.  Competitors will be split into 2 groups.  The max deadlift and log press will be run simultaneously, as well as the vehicle pull and atlas stone series. No tacky allowed inside the building!!  If you are caught applying or removing tacky in the building, you will be disqualified from the entire competition.  There will be a tacky removal area outside when you are done with the event.  I hope to have 4 platforms for the farmers hold to get you guys home at a decent time.

The order you sign up will determine the order you go in the events.  You will be rearranged by your point standings for the final event, the farmer's hold, and will be going head to head with others in your weight class.

I will be raffling off one of the cerakote Texas Deadlift Bars that will be used in the competition! Only $10.00 for competitors and $15.00 for any non-competitor for your chance to win the original deadlift bar. No limit to the number of tickets you can purchase. All profit from the raffle will go towards prize money for the open classes!

PRO DIVISION!!

The men's and women's winner of the pro division will qualify for the USS Pro International next August in Austin Texas. Winning this event will award you your pro card. On top of that, you will also receive a first of its kind PRO CONTRACT through US Strongman! We're talking about getting PAID to help offset some of the costs to compete in strongman!

To have a pro division, a minimum of 6 athletes must be signed up, and you cannot score a zero in any event. In the case that there are not 6 signups, you can be put in the amateur open class that corresponds to your weight.

Max Deadlift

Wessels rules, 3 attempts. 10 lb. jumps.  Miss a lift and you are done.  Must be fully locked out to receive a down command.  Dropping the bar will result in a zero for the event.  Standard weight plates on a deadlift bar.  Belts, straps, sleeves allowed.  Figure 8 straps allowed as long as the palms of both hands are in contact with the bar.  Deadlift suits allowed.

Log Press:

60 second time limit.  Clean and then press away for reps.  Log can be set down and cleaned again within time limit.  Each lift must be locked out overhead and feet stable before given the down command.  Dropping the log from overhead will result in a zero for the event.  Chalk, sleeves, belts allowed.  No tacky, tacky towels, tacky spray, or straps.

Atlas Stone Series:

5 stones of ascending weight must be loaded onto platforms ranging from 60" for men and 56" for women for the lightest stone, going down in 4" increments to 44" for men and 40" for women for the heaviest stone.  Tacky, grip shirts allowed.  Split times will be kept for each stone.  Time stops when the competitors hands are removed from the stone. No tacky allowed inside the building!!  If you are caught applying or removing tacky in the building, you will be disqualified from the entire competition.  There will be a tacky removal area outside when you are done with the event.

Harness Vehicle Pull:

Athlete will pull a vehicle over a 50 ft. course as fast as possible via a harness and rope.  If forward movement is stopped, or time runs out the pull is over, and a distance will be given. 60 sec time limit.

Farmer’s Hold:

Farmer’s handles will be lifted and held for max time.  Time starts when athlete is standing fully erect and time stops when any part of the implement touches the ground.  No straps or tacky.  Weights are per hand.
