Please get in touch with the host to register.

This will be an all day event!  We are planning on having vendors, food trucks, activities for families and kids, everything!

Events are listed, weights for each class coming soon...

This event is going to be outside of the Seminole Strength and Conditioning gym in our back parking lot.  Parking and admission to the event are both free.

Feel free to bring food, there will be food vendors selling food also.  Pop-up tents, chairs, etc are allowed and encouraged but make sure you get there early if you want to set them up as spaces will fill.

Weigh in's will be on Friday morning at Seminole Strength and Conditioning, LLC from 9am-12pm or by appointment thereafter.

Hotel Information:

Tallahassee has a wide variety of hotels, the closest ones will be right off of any of the 3 main exits off of I-10 (exit 196 is our exit, also exit 199 or 203).  Seminole Strength is right off of exit 196 which has 1 or 2 hotels, but exit 199 and 203 have many more.  If you need more information on them, please feel free to contact us.

Food:

Food near us:  There are a few restaurants and we are working on getting a food vendor, however outside of that there is a Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell, McDonalds, KFC, Zaxby's, Chinese Food, Walmart, etc. so quite a few options within a mile or so but there will be food trucks at the event.

Event Descriptions

Firefighter Medley

Lifter will start behind a fire hydrant approximately 3 feet away, when told to start, run to hydrant and pick it up, carry it approximately 40 feet and load on a platform.  Lifter will then run back to starting area where a firefighter hose section will be, pick that up and carry it again the 40 feet to the platform and load it.  Lifter will then go to a sled which will be next to the platform where the first two implements were loaded, grab a handle and walking/run backwards, draggin sled back to starting position (40ft).  Time will stop once sled crosses the start/finish line.  Fastest time wins, those that do not complete it will be given thier distance completed for scoring.

Axle Deadlift

Lifter will start with hands on the axle and when instructed to begin, start to deadlift to fully locked out position as many reps as possible in one minute.  Lifter must control weight back down to ground (no dropping from top basically).  Straps/chalk are allowed, deadlift suits/tacky are not.

Hercules Hold

Lifter will start in the middle of two weighted pillars that are falling away from them, when time starts, weight will be released and solely held by lifter, arms straight out to side for as long as possible.  When one or both handles are let go, time will stop.  No straps/tacky allowed.

Log / Circus Dumbbell Medley

Lifter will start behind a log and when given the start command, run to the log and lift it overhead until arms are locked.  A down command will be given at which point lifter will lower log to the ground and run to a circus dumbbell, clean and press it until locked overhead with one arm.  Once locked, another "down" command will be given.  Lifter will go back and forth between the two until one minute is expired.  Most completed reps wins.

Ascending Stone Load

Lifter will start behind the first of 5 stones, when given the start command, will pick up stone and run it to a platform to be loaded approximately 10 ft away.  Lifter lifter will then go to the second stone which is heavier, and run it approximately 8 foot and load to the platform.  Weights get heavier, distance gets shorter with the last stone being 2 ft away from platform.  Fastest to load all 5 stones wins, those that don't finish will be awarded points based on fastest time of the stone completed.
